20 Striking Silhouette Photographs

This week’s shout out was the simply the word Silhouette. Creating Silhouettes can be a lot of fun and it can totally transform a subject shooting with the light from behind. The result of the weekend shout out was a selection of some really great high contrast images.

You can continue to add your silhouette photos to the flickr pool making sure you tag them “Silhouette”. Remember to click on an image to view it on flickr as I am sure the respective photographers would appreciate some feedback and comments.

  1. All Good. My favorite Silhouette by Pamela Bieler.

  2. I think you maybe need to make the shout outs at a different time of day, I follow the twitter, and keep an eye on it loads, but have missed all the shout out tweets…

  3. Sorry Connor, we can make them last a little longer in future.

  4. I don’t want to sound negative, but there seem to be an awful lot of black and white photo’s here… For me, a colour silhouette is far superior as it shows, clearly, the difficulty and challenge of manipulating the available light for this effect.

  5. As am I a little confused that some also seem to be verging as what could be classes as “silhouette”

  7. “Spooked” is my favorite, also like “In Motion”

  8. If you’re still looking for silhouettes, I’ve got two you could choose from: http://bit.ly/fa611I, http://bit.ly/f8xMEP

  9. The Next Day, by butter_fry is my favorite. Awesome mystique!
