  1. Some very amazing photos…

  2. Except for mr. jhitta, the selection is rather poor.

  3. Patrick says:

none by a person called “kmeron”?! surprises me, some of his work on flickr is the best music photography i’ve easily seen.

  4. Pitboy says:

Great images all … only thing is … i’ve never heard of even one of those bands. And I thought I was fairly up to date with the music scene !

    • I think the issue is most photographers don’t have access to the big bands. Seven by Five is a group of amateur photographers.

  5. Personally, I like the picture “Fruit Bats_3″ myself. I’m pretty sure it’s accidental, with the photographer focusing on the guitarist and trying to get the locale in the picture as well, but it almost makes it look like the guitarist “is on fire” with his playing. Looks like flames coming off the end of the guitar.
“Before the Fun Starts” and “A Gift with Thanks” make up the trio that I’d consider best in this group. I also like the two instrument oriented ones, though I can think of some improvements for the guitar fret shot. (I’m sure we all can, even the photographer that took it now: that’s the nature of this hobby…we see a good shot and that helps us figure out a way to IMHO do it better. ;-) )

  6. Love these photos. Until this year I never had the opportunity to really photograph an active Rock Band. I’ve been lucky enough to have access to “Star Maps” a local Los Angeles Band. I welcome feedback on my site to see what other photographers think.

  7. Nice photos.

  8. These images are great! I recently shot a concert of a fairly well known band and am trying to figure out if I can sell prints of the images. Any thoughts on copyright related to this matter? I think it’s a hairy situation, as an artist you can certainly exhibit work for sale of anyone, but you can’t advertise without a model release.

  9. I must be honest and say this is not a good selection of concert photography. I feel that a lot of these photos are lame with the exception of about four.
