Photo Profile: Christian Hutter

I could start this in so many different ways… maybe I will start shortly at the beginning of my photography life. My father and also his father where passionate “hobby” or “semi-Pro” photographers. So its in my blood. I had contact with a camera first when I was 6. It was an old Analog camera from my father. I had no idea what I am doing. I always liked it to watch my father how he was taking pictures. Now I am 17 years old, have my own camera, but I still think I have no idea what I am doing.

So now what I like in photography.

The special thing in photography is, I can catch a moment of beauty, love or just every feeling in life and show them to my observer how I want them to see it. If I walk by the street, fields or woods I consider every little detail and feel the moment. I need hours to take the “perfect” Landscape. I walk by a field or rest beside a tree. I love to spend time for my Images. I like nature. There is nothing more beautiful than mother earth. The whole beauty the earth has is just breathtaking. Sometimes I just stay next to my tripod, hit the trigger, look into a beautiful sunset and say wow. The other thing in photography is, I have so many different options and places to take a picture. Firstly I can set my tripod into the nature, into the nowhere and to the other, I can walk by a street and take images of the daily life. I can take a picture, full of sharpness and details or a picture to blurry and dark. But what really counts for an image, personally for me, is the emotion in the picture, the story it tells. With the street images I take, I want to tell a story. A story the observer can imagine himself. My image is just a point, the beginning point of a story. Again another thing is, if I had take a photo and its good enough into my eyes, I am so happy, I sit in front of my computer, editing the image and smile like a baby.

If  I am on a trip, or I am in the city I like to have my whole camera stuff with me. I don’t like to be somewhere and say “oh wow, what a beautiful sunset I like to take a picture. Oh no wait, I forgot my wide angel lens at home.” The moment this happen to my is when I have Alzheimer’s. I prefer to shoot alone. I don’t like it if friends always want to walk by and I just want to stay there and get some more pictures.

So this is it, a bit about myself and about my work.
