Just wanted to make you aware of some exciting news. Red:Photo is going to be part of a city centre art exhibition hosted by the red:collective and Redeemer Central on 7th – 9th June 2010 @ The Red Barn gallery in Belfast.
The exhibition will involve the display of local photography and writings produced by members of the red:collective ( inc. Red:Photo) and will feature the ‘We Are Belfast’ project (go to www.wearebelfast.com to join up).
During the 3 days the exhibition will be open during the daytime for people to come and view and in the evening will host few special events – including some live music and a red:film night.
The Exhibition
Red:Photo will be providing local, Northern Ireland photography for the exhibition and this is where we need you. We want to invite you to send us some of your local photography for an opportunity to get your work exhibited. If you have photos you would like to submit send them to me (daveyarmstrong@gmail.com) or upload them to the Red:photo Flickr group and along with the exhibition curator we will choose some to exhibit.
Let me stress that this is local photography and is open to all – professional and amateurs alike – showcasing our city and local area through the eyes of the people. This is a great opportunity so get submitting the photos. Closing date for submissions is 7th May 2010.
Red : Photo Walks
In anticipation of the exhibition Red:Photo has lined up several Photo-walks in the Belfast area. This is a great opportunity to walk through the city taking photos, documenting your walk while connecting with other like minded people who love photography.
