I was very thrilled when I saw your website. I found cool and enthralling images of people, landscapes, and everything in between. Browsing through the site was very fun – making my imagination really work. Simple things were seen in a different point of view and delivered in an pleasant manner. I am an architect by profession and I have been in love with photography since I was a child. I am currently working in the Middle East which has made photography my constant companion. From my simple compact cameras to my own DSLR, I like to capture moments which turn to memories that you can keep on coming back to look at.
There were times as a child that I used a compact camera to take shots. I used this trick in my photos where I would photo stitch my images mentally – meaning getting the images in three to four shots—and when the film was developed – voila – I stitched them to make one picture perfect of a building or scenery. From compact cameras I moved to my own SLR camera. I now enjoy every privilege I can with my semi-pro dslr. My profession leads to me to places and creations of art that are worth capturing. From simple things to extravagant creations, it’s just how each one of us sees it through our own eyes. I love being outside with nature. It makes me realize and feel that i am one with them. I don’t do any tweaking of my shots; I upload or share them how I capture them. I have nothing against photo processing but for me, I find it very amusing and interesting if the subject is taken in its very raw format. The architectural style known as Brutalism or Raw Concrete has been my influence on my photography. Raw shots at its best.
I have included some of my images. My first ever was of a sunrise here in the Middle East. I was stunned at Mr. Sun on how dramatic he was hiding at the back of the clouds waiting for his time to shine early in the morning. I captured this inside a running car. The other one is a simple Christmas ball reminding me of the Spirit of giving. My images can be found on my multiply.com link (below). I still have some stocked on my hard drives and will upload them when time permits.
Given the chance, I want to learn more advanced techniques in photography. I have not enrolled in any photography classes. I just explore my camera on my own and take images with my own concepts. Reading online was a big help for me. Some are encouraging me to make this a business but I am not that sure how it works. Maybe i will keep it as a hobby, a de-stressing and enjoyable hobby.
