I came to photography as something natural. I have a to do list before I die (that may sound a little bit like a cliché), but that is in fact the reason that keeps pushing me forward to try and accomplish some projects writing, producing music, taking pictures and drawing.
Since I am interested in about every subject in this world (fashion, science, management, art, music…), I think my work is pretty much a mix of all the things that surround my spirit. Furthermore, the fact that poetry and classic music had a big place in my early years has made my work a little bit like a dream.
In fact, it is exactly what I try to do with music, drawing or photography… My whole work should be called “my lucid dreams” I think. What I would like people to feel when they have one of the pieces of my work in front of them is the sensation to enter my dreams and share them with me.
In photography I need black and white because it gives a real personality to each piece of work produced… Nevertheless, colours are necessary in order to paint with pixels what I am trying to say. I wish to show in every photography I make a unique vision by working with the focusing and the framing.
That is how I first got inspired. By having this sensation of sharing the vision of artists, you can actually be in their place for a few seconds, then understand and manage to imagine how the piece of work you are admiring started from scratch.
That is the reason why I need to feel something special for someone’s work in order to get inspired.
This is the case with the work of Terry Richardson, Karl Lagerfeld, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, David Lynch, Steven Meisel, Anna Blessmann & Peter Saville, Steven Bruce Weber, Vincent Peters, Eric Guilleman, Christian Louboutin, Santiago Ruisenor, Javier Carmona, Damen Hirst, Ray Ceasar, Bettina Komenda…
I am not saying that I do their work, these extraordinary people are just examples of what makes me dream and gives me enough inspiration to write my part of the story.
I am really into fashion, so what I am aiming to is to manage to get my work known and put it all together; music, fashion, photography and art… all in one place, my project.
