Photo Profile: Cristiano Bianchi

I’m a wedding photographer since 2006 and I try each time to capture the real emotion of a wedding trough refined and spontaneous images. My photography style is a mixed of traditional wedding photography and a photojournalistic approach.

This kind of photography give me the opportunity to capture the most emotional moments and, above all, the couples are very happy to work with us because they are not stressed by me with forced smiles and too many poses.

I started my job as photographer with a film camera, than I accepted the digital innovation and I’ve bought a new digital camera that changed my life of photographer. Before the digital camera, the post production was impossible or very limited and since I’ve discovered the power of editing I forgot soon film cameras!

My wedding workflow is really changed in the last 3 years; thanks to the new softwares as Lightroom and Photomechanic I need at all about half time compared with the old workflow. At this time the technology is of vital importance for a modern photographer as me that shoot many weddings each year.

My most photography influences coming from cinema and movies, they are still today my first inspirational sources. I love movies and frequently I look even 3 times the same film just for study the use of light, the framing and the storyline.

I’m based in Tuscany, close to Florence and I’m feel very lucky to live in this great region, because there are thousand sources of inspiration…landscapes, historical building, historical cities as Florence and Pisa, the Chianti area with the most beautiful countryside in the world.

Thanks to the beauty of the italian land many foreign couples choose Tuscany to celebrate their wedding and for me it’s a very pleasure to be their wedding photographer.

Each wedding is different by the others, but all the events I shoot are funny and make me happy.

I don’t work alone, rather, I have a great support of all my Team that is made up by: Francesco that he is my hand-right and my assistant during the wedding day, then another Francesco that he control almost all the post production and the editing up to the Album mount. I have also a cute and talented girl, she call Elisa and she is the videomaker of the Studio. She has really a particular and amazing talent for the movies and is a very important source for me. She take care also of all the editing production of the movies and the choice of the music for it.

In the last years my Studio has become a point of reference about wedding photography in Tuscany and we had a good reputation in this field. In 2011 we won also 2 Awards in the most important national contest in the category Wedding. This kind of results pushed me forward in my studies and my photography research with enthusiasm, initiative and dynamism…maybe this is the only and easy “secret” of my success.
